This is Painswick
Players' 85th season. 'Twas back in the summer of 1923 that Miss Lucy Hyett
produced As You
Like It in her back garden, ie the idyllic grounds of Painswick House.
Since 1923, we have staged 200 odd productions – some very odd - and they're
all listed on the Past Productions page. For more dramatic

page recording our 80th Anniversary celebration in 2003.
Our last production was Alan Ayckbourn’s It Could Be Any One Of Us in June at the
Painswick Centre, directed by Natasha Dickenson. Rehearsals are underway.
Previously this year, in February, we staged a sell-out
panto, Snow White
& the Seven Not Particularly Tall People directed by
Lesley Wolowiec. It was written by our very own

This was only our
second pantomime, the first being The Dragon’s Tale (or Tail) in 2002, which was also written by
